Project: Sighting data, biopsy samples and environmental DNA samples from harbor porpoise will be collected
during a ship survey in inside waters of Southeast Alaska to better understand population structure of harbor
porpoises. Determining stock structure is important to interpret existing and future estimates of abundance and
to better assess the potential impacts of commercial fisheries on Southeast Alaska harbor porpoises.
