Location: Yakutat Bay

Timing: May 2018 - Spring 2020

Funding: BOEM

Project: In partnership with the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Washington, scientific and technical data will be obtained to evaluate the feasibility of collecting wave energy on a permanent basis, as well as to characterize seabed dynamics, background noise, and fish and marine mammal presence and habitat requirements in the project area. Two passive acoustic moorings will be deployed for over a year, co-located with other instrumentation to measure wave and seabed action.
