The Makah Tribe has notified NOAA Fisheries that they have taken inseason action for the off-reservation ocean treaty troll fishery. This action was necessary to evaluate Chinook and coho salmon catches to date in order to stay within Pacific Fishery Management Council quota guidelines.
- Effective 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, Area 3 north of 48° 02’ 15” N. (Norwegian Memorial) and Areas 4, 4A, and 4B, the fishery is closed until further notice.
