Mid-Atlantic Operations Specialist

Cameron received a bachelors in Marine Biology from Florida Tech and a masters in Marine Resource Management from the University of Miami. He has worked for Delaware Fish and Wildlife as a technician on the state trawl survey and for Florida Fish and Wildlife as a biologist conducting telemetry based research on grouper spawning migrations. He came to the NEFSC in 2021 as a Gear Specialist with the Observer Program, then moved into an Assistant Area Lead position supporting the Industry Funding Monitoring Atlantic herring program. As the MidAtlantic Operations Specialist, Cameron researches MidAtlantic fisheries and fishing fleets, supports the SBRM analysis, and supports the SBRM sea day schedule by tracking accomplishments and conducting industry outreach.
