CDR Adam Reed

B.S. Engineering Physics, Colorado School of Mines

CDR Reed is currently the Acting Chief of the Operations, Management, and Information Division of NOAA’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center. He is a commissioned officer in NOAA’s Commissioned Officer Corps with over14 years of active duty service, serving across 7 NOAA research vessels. Prior to coming to Fisheries, he worked at NOAA’s Office of Marine and Aviation Operations managing projects and logistics for NOAA’s research fleet. He also worked with the Office of Coast Survey updating bathymetric maps and nautical charts of the ocean floor.
