Nicolle Hill
Nicolle Hill joined NOAA's Northwest Fisheries Science Center in August 2021 as the Deputy Science and Research Director. Before joining the Center, she spent over 20 years working for NOAA Fisheries Northwest and West Coast Regions. Over her career, Nicolle has served many roles at NOAA Fisheries, including the Operations, Management, and Information Assistant Regional Administrator, overseeing budget planning and execution, human capital management, information technology, and administrative services, and as Associate Deputy Regional Administrator, overseeing strategic planning, aquaculture, National Environmental Policy Act, communications, and organizational health management practices and initiatives, such as supervisory skill-building, employee engagement and culture, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Before Nicolle joined NOAA Fisheries, she served in the U.S. Army as an Engineer Captain. Nicolle is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Fisheries and Military Science.
