A two-day workshop using RStudio Cloud to learn the management of high-throughput sequence data for community analysis focusing on marine phytoplankton. The workshop is open to researchers at all levels who need to manage and analyze data generated by metabarcode sequencing from marine water sampling.
Please note that this workshop is on two non-consecutive days: Monday, October 5, and Wednesday, October 7.
In this two-day workshop participants will learn to:
- Run metabarcoding data through an analysis pipeline.
- Use RStudio Cloud to analyze data and prepare graphics.
- Gain “hands-on” experience using real data (either their own or data provided by instructors).
- Learn how to use state of the art denoising/clustering techniques (DADA2, swarm).
Participants can analyze their own data set for the workshop or may analyze a provided data set. Experience with R is strongly recommended.
