This one-day summit will bring together scientists, managers, fishermen, and industry representatives to share the approaches and results of cooperative research projects, discuss opportunities for enhanced industry participation, review funding opportunities, and develop best practices for applying cooperative research results to assessments and management. The summits is also intended to facilitate regional coordination of cooperative research and development of new partnerships.
The goals of the summit are to:

Abstract Submission
If your work involves a collaboration between researchers and fishermen, please consider submitting an abstract for either a poster or oral presentation. If you have never been involved in cooperative research, but are interested in learning more and becoming more involved, please consider attending. The abstract deadline is December 7, 2022. You can submit your abstract on the same form that you use to register for the summit.
Instructions for Oral and Poster Presentations
Preference will be given to fishing industry members who wish to provide an oral presentation/statement or poster related to cooperative research. All presentations and posters should strive to be insightful, to be easily understood by a wide audience, and to specifically describe how research results are, or could be, applied.
Oral Presentations
Speakers are limited to 10 minutes for their presentations and questions. Powerpoint presentations can be loaded from a USB thumb drive prior to your session to the provided PC and LCD projector.
After the meeting, presentations will be converted to PDF files and made available on this website if presenter approval is received. Presenters do not have to make their presentation publicly available.
Poster Presentations
Posters must be no larger than 36 by 48 inches. Posters will be on display during the networking reception from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and should be set up by 9 a.m.
