About

Primary goals of this meeting are to discuss seafood education, marketing, and promotion to encourage increased U.S. seafood consumption; the role of the new senior advisor for seafood strategy; recreational fisheries engagement and electronic reporting; and wind development in the marine environment. MAFAC will receive updates on electronic monitoring policies and implementation, work of the Columbia Basin Partnership Task Force which is addressing goals to restore salmon and steelhead throughout the Columbia Basin, NOAA Fisheries science priorities and new technologies, and the budget outlook for FY2020. MAFAC subcommittees and working groups will be convened to conduct their work.
