September 2023 HMS Advisory Panel Meeting

NOAA Fisheries will hold a meeting of the Atlantic Highly Migratory Species (HMS) Advisory Panel (AP) September 6-7, 2023. This meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast via webinar.

About

The intent of the HMS AP meeting is to consider options for the conservation and management of Atlantic HMS.

Some of the topics we will discuss:

Amendment 15 to the 2006 Consolidated HMS Fishery Management Plan regarding spatial management
Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery year in review

Other NOAA Fisheries offices, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Ocean Energy
Management will provide updates, if available, on activities relevant to HMS fisheries. The full agenda will be posted prior to the meeting.
