We conduct management track assessments on a routine, scheduled basis.

Management track assessments are routine and scheduled.  They provide updated catch advice to fishery managers.

During the spring of 2020, we will assess six fish and invertebrate stocks.

These assessments will begin with an oversight panel meeting on February 25, 2020.

During this meeting scientists will present their plans for the assessment. These will be reviewed by other scientists from the Northeast Fisheries Science Center,  and the Mid-Atlantic and New England Fishery Management Councils.

Once the plan is finalized, the assessments are conducted.

The final step is a review, by an independent panel of experts from June 22-26, 2020.
