2020 Economic Status of the Groundfish Fisheries Off Alaska

The commercial FMP groundfish fisheries of Alaska had a total catch of 2.1 million metric tons (mt) in 2020 (including catch in federal and state waters) (Fig. 3.2 and Table 1), a decrease of 4.5% from 2019. Groundfish accounted for 89% of Alaska's 2020 total catch (Table 4)
