Our giant salmon mural has been shrunk down into a black and white line coloring sheet. Inside of the large salmon, there are many intricacies that show how people are degrading and restoring salmon habitat.

The Salmon Survival board game walks participants through the salmon life cycle. During each life stage, participants attempt to survive the natural and human-made challenges salmon face, such as drought, passage barriers, and predators. But don’t despair, the game also features ways that people are helping salmon, such as building rain gardens, conserving water, and constructing fish ladders.

Through comics, word puzzles, and mazes, kids learn about the importance of salmonids (e.g., salmon and steelhead trout) the threats facing them, and what kids can do to help.

Lesson plans to help you instruct and inform your students about Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon.

In this lesson students will use the Agents of Discovery™ app on their mobile devices to learn about the wild Atlantic salmon. Students will complete challenge activities within the Sea-Run, Go! Mission which were developed to increase general knowledge of wild Atlantic salmon; promote understanding the species’ conservation and recovery needs; and to encourage environmental stewardship.
