Inseason Actions #14 - #15 in Ocean Salmon Fisheries, North of Cape Falcon (All subareas)

NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the commercial salmon fisheries north of Cape Falcon. Modifications are needed to provide greater fishing opportunity and provide economic benefit to the fishery dependent community.

  • Inseason action #14: Effective 12:01 AM June 10, 2022, the Chinook salmon landing and possession limit for the commercial salmon troll fishery north of Cape Falcon area is 25 Chinook per vessel per week (Thursday-Wednesday).
  • Inseason action #15: Effective 11:59 PM June 15, 2022, the commercial salmon troll fishery in the area north of Cape Falcon is closed through June 30, 2022.  

Vessels must land and deliver their salmon within 24 hours of any closure of this fishery. Additional openings in June may be considered if sufficient May-June quota remains after the closure.
