The Scientific Review Group (SRG) and the Joint Management Committee (JMC) created under the Pacific Whiting Treaty between the Governments of the United States and Canada will meet on February 26- March 1 and March 5- 7, respectively in Lynnwood, Washington.
The purpose of the SRG meeting will be to review the Pacific Hake/ Whiting draft stock assessment and related scientific issues. The assessment is scheduled to be available on the whiting treaty website (listed at the end of this notice) on February 12, 2018.
The purpose of the JMC meeting is to review the stock assessment, receive reports from the advisory bodies, and to make a final Total Allowable Catch recommendation to the parties.
