The Joint Management Committee (JMC) and Advisory Panel (AP) created under the Pacific Hake/Whiting Agreement between the Governments of the United States and Canada will meet by webinar March 15-17, 2021.
Preliminary agenda items for the JMC meeting include: review the advice by the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) and the Scientific Review Group (SRG) regarding the 2021 stock assessment and SRG meeting, receive an update on the Management Strategy Evaluation (MSE), review the 2020 fishing year and recommendations by the AP regarding 2021 Total Allowable Catch (TAC), and provide a recommendation to the United States and Canada regarding the 2021 TAC of Pacific Hake/Whiting.
The meeting is open to the public and there will be opportunity for public comment.
