Summary

NOAA Fisheries is announcing the issuance of one Endangered Species Act (ESA) Section 10(a)(1)(B) Incidental Take Permit and one ESA 10(a)(1)(A) Enhancement of Survival Permit to Sierra Pacific Land & Timber Company (SPL&T) for the Sierra Pacific Industries Joint Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and Safe Harbor Agreement (SHA). The HCP/SHA covers the Federally endangered Sacramento River winter-run Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha), Evolutionary Significant Unit (ESU), the threatened Central Valley spring-run Chinook salmon (O. tshawytscha) ESU, the threatened Southern Oregon/Northern California Coast coho salmon (O. kisutch) ESU, and the threatened California Central Valley steelhead (O. mykiss) Distinct Population Segment (DPS). The notice also announces the availability of the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) associated with the issuance of the Permits to SPL&T for the HCP/SHA.
