The Joint Technical Committee created under the Pacific Whiting Treaty between the Governments of the United States and Canada will meet on December 12, 2018, in Seattle, WA. Draft agenda items include reports from industry members on the 2018 fishery in Canada and the U.S., a report from the JTC on 2018 fishery data, an update on 2018 acoustic research, and 2019 fishery survey plans, and an update on the ongoing Management Strategy Evaluation. Pacific Whiting industry members are encouraged to attend and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
