ShoreZone Program Daily Log - July 11, 2018

Aerial Imaging Surveys in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

Map showing imaging from shorezone

Daily Log: July 11, 2018 (red line on flight plan map)

It was an early start for the ShoreZone team as their imaging tide window opened around 5 a.m.. Good thing there is currently over 17 hours of daylight in this part of Alaska (sunrise ~4 a.m. and sunset ~10 p.m.). The weather was overcast and rainy but conditions were still fine for imaging. We were able to send out a few low-resolution photos despite poor cell coverage in the park. We hope they keep coming for the next four or five days. We are already seeing some cool features and habitats.
